Grew up in Weimar, TX on a small ranch where we raised Limousines and commercial steers. I still assets my family when needed as the operation have become larger with a shift away from registered cattle and into cow calf and back grounding operations. I showed steers and heifers throughout my junior high and high school years spending many nights on the road during the summer and many winter days at the majors.
I graduated Weimar High in 1993 and moved to TCU for one year where I transferred to Texas Tech in Lubbock. I graduated with a BS in 1997. I went to work with Ben E. Keith foods and moved to Austin, TX.
In July 1999 I went to work for the family business, Southwest Rail Industries Inc. Five years later my brother-n-law and I purchased the company from my father. Southwest Rail Industries Inc. is a leasing company of rail assets where we manage and own the railcars and lease them to regional, national and multinational corporations in the sectors of chemical, petrochemical, petroleum and agriculture.
I moved to La Grange, TX in June 2002, married in 2005 to Kaley Winters Huette and now have two children, Van Frederick Huette and MaeBess Lucina Huette. I am involved in service groups in La Grange and with organizations with in my industry.
