Matt Arthur has been involved with the Lone Star Cattlemen Foundation since its inception, spending countless hours helping to serve the youth of Texas. He has attended Youth Auctions in many of the counties we serve and enjoys being able to help young people attain their dreams of future projects and/or secondary education. Matt graduated from Sam Houston State University with a B.S. in Agricultural Business (1995) and agriculture and raising livestock continue to be a passion. He has served as the Sales Manager for Texas Aggregates, LP whose home office is in Bastrop since 2002. This position allows him to cover many miles and overlaps with many of the Counties the LSC Serves.
Matt lives in LaGrange, Texas (Fayette County) with his wife Cher and their children Caleb and Berkleigh. Both Caleb (12) and Berkleigh (10) are active in the LaGrange 4H club and attend LaGrange Schools. Together we also enjoy tie down roping and grazing a few cattle and horses.
Aside from the Lone Star Cattlemen Foundation, Matt also serves on the board of the Fayette Water Supply Corporation as well as The LaGrange Evening Lions Club. He is also involved in Aggregate trade organizations including the Texas Aggregates and Concrete Association, American Concrete Institute as well as the Austin Contractors and Engineers Association.
